Multiphase
WATERCUT Meter

WadiTech

We developed our Multiphase Watecut Meter based on Electro-Impedance Spectrology Technology. Meter Measures the water cut in oil-gas emulsion in the flow, without preliminary separation of gas.

The distinguishing feature of our Multiphase Watercut Meter is the proven ability to scan the entire cross section of the pipe, without the need for the use of a separate mixer for homogenizing the flow and positioning during installation and repositioning during operations. Therefore, even when the flow changes, the company will continue to receive relevant measurement data. Meter also benefit from the absence of external elements in the pipe.

Our Multiphase Watercut Meter can be used as one of the Big Data elements for analyzing or predicting well operation, either independently, or as a part of various metering complexes.

Key Characteristics

Data From Blind Test Results At DNV GL

Accuracy of our Multiphase Watercut Meter was confirmed by the blind test results performed by DNV GL, the independent laboratory in Groningen, Netherlands. Comparative table provides an excerpt from the flow testing results using independent reference standard of DNV GL in 2021. The data shown are for the entire water cut range, with different GVF and flow rates.

DNV GL is a recognized expert in well flow simulation. International manufacturers of oil and gas equipment trust the opinion of DNV GL, and you can confirm the stated test results on the DNV GL reference from the original source.

Technologies

Our multiphase watercut meter is developed based on electroimpedance spectroscopy technology.

Our proprietry developed low-noise amplifiers allowed us to measure the complex resistance of the passing oil-water-gas emulsion  with the accuracy of femtoFarads (10-15 Farads) on the frequency spectrum from 5 Hz to 20 MHz with a frequency of 400,000 measurements per second. For the subsequent processing of primary data, we use machine learning and a modified convolutional neural network. To use these solutions, our engineers have implemented proprietry developed unique PCB boards in combination with high-speed compact industrial-grade processors.

  • Accuracy of femtoFarads (10-15  Farads)
  • Frequency Spectrum from 5 Hz to 20 MHz
  • 400,000 measurements per second

Our Experience

SAUDI ARAMCO declared interest in the implementation of PILSECO’s equipment. As part of the mandatory procedures for confirming our equipment compliance with their standards, we have carried out the following:

  • Supplied our multiphase watercut meters to Saudi Arabia;
  • Successfully passed tests at SAUDI ARAMCO’s onshore wells;
  • Successfully verified our multiphase watercut meters
    compliance with the 34-SAMMS standard (SAUDI ARAMCO);
  • Obtained ‘Pre-Qualification’ status from SAUDI ARAMCO.

We expect to receive commercial orders in 2024.
