Multiphase
FLOW Meters

During the development of Multiphase Flow Meters, we have researched various technologies that eliminate the use of sources of radioisotope radiation. As a result, we have successfully developed two types of Multiphase Flow Meter based on the following technologies:

 • Impedance tomography;

• Impedance spectroscopy.

These technologies does not use alpha/beta/gamma radiation, and is also noninvasive, structurally reliable and cost-efficient. We have also designed Two Phases Flow Meter, which measures emulsion flow with up to 10% of GVF. Two Phase Flow Meter could be the best choice for cases using gas / liquid separators as it provide high accuracy measurements while benefiting from price comparable with the price of Multiphase Watercut Meter.

We plan to conduct tests in independent laboratories, produce samples, conduct field trials and certify Flow Meters in 2024.

Key Characteristics

Technologies

Our multiphase flow meter is based on proprietary developed electrical impedance ERT/ECT tomograph, designed based on an 8-electrode circuit with a slice formation frequency of 4,000 per second. Additionally, we have modernized Venturi tube to solve the problem of measuring emulsions with a high gas content (up to 98%).

To determine water cut, which is necessary for measuring flow, we use our proprietary developed multiphase watercut meter, as well as a number of additional sensors and in-house developed software.

  • ERT/ECT Tomograph
  • 8 – Electrode circuit
  • Frequency of 4,000 slice per second

And also use electro impedance spectroscopy technology. Our proprietry developed low-noise amplifiers allowed us to measure the complex resistance of the passing oil-water-gas emulsion  with the  accuracy of femtoFarads (10-15 Farads) on the frequency spectrum from 5 Hz to 20 MHz with a frequency of 400,000 measurements per second. For the subsequent processing of primary data, we use machine learning and a modified convolutional neural network. To use these solutions, our engineers have implemented proprietry developed unique PCB boards in combination with high-speed compact industrial-grade processors.

  • Accuracy of femtoFarads (10-15  Farads)
  • Frequency Spectrum from 5 Hz to 20 MHz
  • 400,000 measurements per second
